Broken PS3? Fix it Today - PS3 Repair Guide

By Dana Goldberg

So you got your new system and everything is going well! The games you got are great. The system is a very interesting interface. You can go online and do so much more using it! That is until it breaks. There are several things that can happen but in this article I will tell you how to generally repair PS3 systems.

How do you go about repairing your system and what are the different ways that it can stop functioning? How long should I wait before just taking it somewhere to be repaired?

Software problems are the most common problem. This is because something as simple as restarting the system wrong over and over can cause the system to have corrupt files. When this happens you may not be able to access the system. You should do a system restore at this point and erase and reinstall the games system. This will fix the problem.

The next thing that can happen is a physical problem. This can be a s simple as a disconnected cable or a disc stuck in the drive. Check your cables and make sure everything is plugged in. Also make sure to not pull on the disc until it has fully ejected from the tray. When it has ejected do not left up but pull it vertically. Lifting up can cause the disc to break in the system.

Hardware issues are the one you really need to worry about. If something happens with your hardware than you will need to have it repaired. This could happen if you leave your system on too long or just a faulty system.

Those are the steps to diagnosing and fixing your PS3 system.
