Celebrate Your Next Event Without Worrying About The Forecast

By Byron Jonas

When it comes time to sit down and enjoy a nice long meal with your family, some people are forced to wait longer than others. While your family may all be centrally located in one common place, other people live and work miles and miles away from their closest relatives. As a result, coming together as a family and catching up with each other might be easy for some, but is extremely difficult (and consequently, rare) for others. That being said, many people who are unable to be with their family as often as they might like, are able to see everybody every year at the annual family reunion.

Even better, you can have the event outside. With new options for instant outdoor shelters popping up every day, the weather is no longer the scary beast that it once was. These durable tents (assuming you buy a high-quality design) will keep you high and dry for the duration of the get-together.

However, gathering together for a large meal is far and away the most common setting for a family reunion. No matter how many tables and chairs need to be pushed together, most people celebrate over an extended meal and never-ending servings of food and drink. As a result, many people put in charge of organization a family event of this size immediately think that they need to go out and reserve the biggest table or a private room at a local restaurant. Having food served to you and having your place cleaned up for you allows people to enjoy their meal and their precious family time more, as they are not worried about cooking and cleaning whatsoever. However, while these advantages are hard to argue with, that does not mean that having your reunion at a restaurant is the only or the best way to go.

One of the best places to gather friends and family for a birthday celebration is in a public park. With plenty of space for everybody you want to invite, a park serves as an excellent landing spot for your next party. As the space is in a public park, you do not need to spend any money reserving the area, which might make it particularly appealing to somebody who is looking for a low budget event. However, hosting a party in a public space does have its drawbacks, primarily that you cannot legally serve any alcoholic beverages, thereby limiting some of the things you can do with your partygoers.

Assuming you decide to focus your next reunion around some type of outdoor picnic, you must first decide how you want to go about feeding your family. There are two clear-cut options: have the event catered, or do it yourself. Having the reunion catered makes sense as it allows you to benefit the same way you might if you had the event in a restaurant, as you will not be in charge of preparing the food or setting up or breaking down the event before and afterwards. Bringing the food yourself, however, might give your reunion an extra layer of authenticity, as everybody will be able to enjoy home-cooked dishes that are special and tradition to everybody taking part.

The best way to throw an outdoor daytime party, therefore, is to do it in a private outdoor space that does not cost much to reserve. That way, your event will remain reasonable price-wise, and will allow you to invite as many people as you want without having to worry about not being able to drink or serve alcohol to those guests who want to enjoy a beer or glass of wine while celebrating your day.

Moreover, just as the rain can cause panic among some people, a hot, sweaty day can be trouble for others. However, with the same outdoor instant shelters on hand, guests will be able to take a break from the sun and sit in the shade for as little or as long as they like, all while enjoying the company around them just the same.

Having outdoor instant shelters is a great way to ensure that your daytime birthday celebration is not effected by an unruly forecast. Be prepared and be able to enjoy your party no matter what the skies say with the aid and assistance of an outdoor instant shelter.
