Introduction To All-Terrain Inline Boards

By Baxter Wells

An inline board is like a skateboard in that you step on and ride it like one, but after that, they are much different. An off road inline board is a two wheeled board that can be used both on an off road.

The Surfari and the Dirtsurfer are two solid, quality inline boards that can be used on and off road. They both have similarities but they each offer a different riding experience.

What are some of the qualities of an off road inline board like the Surfari and the Dirtsurfer? First off, they are both exceptional at going fast. Inline boards like the ones I have mentioned offer a much more stable ride when compared to traditional four wheeled skateboards and longboards.

They absolutely do not get speed wobble. Speed wobble occurs on most four wheeled boards because of the design. Inline boards like the Dirtsurfer and the Surfari actually get more stable at higher speeds.

The feel of riding one is much different than a skateboard. They look much different than a skateboard as well. The wheels are big and can handle that occasional bump, small rock or stick. And they will have straps to keep your feet on the board.

When you are board of riding paved surfaces on a Ripstik, you cant really take it off-roading. What is great about an off road inline board is that it can be used both on and off the road. This gives you many more options.

If you want a challenge and a lot of different options on where you can ride, an off road inline board might be just what you are wanting. I suggest you take a look at the Surfari and the Dirtsurfer as they both are great inline all terrain boards that are great at going fast, and going on and off the road.
